The Idea - A new tropical gin flavour needed more than a pretty visual - it needed a feeling. Working with creative copywriter, we landed on the idea of discovery: the moment you find your own private corner of paradise. The drinks trolley became the hero - something the audience could actually recreate at home. Everyone gets their own slice of Paradiso.
My Role - leading the creative from concept through to post-production - developing the visual platform, directing the shoot, and managing client feedback in real time on set.
Key creative decisions:
- Developed the visual concept and KV composition - element placement, materials, location and overall art direction language.
- Built all storyboards, prepared moodboards and stylist briefs for both stills and film, presented and approved at each stage.
- Directed the full shoot day solo, managing both crew and client conversations on set simultaneously.
- When post-production revealed the launch film lacked early brand visibility - a gap between what worked on the storyboard and what landed on screen - I worked closely with my CD to solve it creatively: introducing earlier logo presence and pulling recipe footage into the launch asset to build crave appeal.
